Default HELP!! Pairing with Kensington Bluetooth USB Adapter 2.0

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought it and I try to pair it with my 8100 but the only thing works is I could use the headset feature so I could talk to someone on the cell phone though the computer but that's about it. I can not connect to the Desktop Manager and it does not give me an option to use Bluetooth.

Please help me. Thanks!

I'm not sure if a change was made in OS 4.2, but with 4.1 you need to use the Microsoft bluetooth driver. If you are using another driver (e.g., WIDCOMM) you will not be able to connect through Desktop Manager.

ok... thanks... I give it a try...

I take it that I use ActiveSync 4.2.

That's the only thing I can find there.

Anyone have anymore suggestions for me?

I gave it a try but it did not work.

I am going to uninstall the software and drivers that came with the Kensington.

If anyone have any more suggestions, please let me know. Thanks.

The Microsoft bluetooth driver is included with Windows XP SP2 but only works with certain bluetooth devices. Check out this thread for how to edit the INF file to include your device: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blue...-adapters.html
