I have a 7130e with sprint service. whenever I send an email with my gmail account or even my blackberry email account... I IMMEDIATELY get a text message showing the exact email I just sent out. It is really annoying. Is it supposed to do this? I called blackberry tech support and they say no... am I alone on this?

This happens with Gmail. You need to log onto your GMail account and shut that option off. Just search around a bit in options, I don't remember where it was but I don't receive any sent messages anymore after I turned it off.

is it because my gmail saves all of my sent messages? because im looking in the settings and dont see anything. then again... im not really sure what im looking for lol

I could not find a specific setting in my GMail options. Do you have your BB account poll the emails from Gmail or do you have Gmail set up to foward new emails to your BB? I started with my BIS account polling GMail but now I have GMail set to foward my new emails. Maybe that is why my sent messages are not being fowarded to my BB.

set up a bfilter on your BIS account to not forward email that is sent from your Gmail account
this will stop you from getting back emails you sent

I also have the same problem as the original poster. I'm not sure what a BIS account is and also did not find anything under settings for my gmail account.

Never mind. I found other threads with it and while they were all confusing because so many people had different answers and it was not specified if I was to change the settings for gmail on my blackberry or from the gmail site.

If anyone else continue to have this problem for the 7130e and gmail....

i deleted the gmail account from my blackberry.
logged on to the gmail site and signed on to my account.
went to setttings and clicked on the POP tab.
enabled POP for email from now.
activated the gmail account on my blackberry again.

so far so good.

That's what I said above. Instead of having your BIS poll for your GMail emails, set it up for GMail to foward them instead.
