Quite frequently when I receive a call from someone in my address book my bb only shows the number of the person that is calling, but not their name and their number. Is anyone else having this problem?

I had the same problem. What I found out was that I had some extra characters in my address book (from Outlook) like (954) 555-1212 - Marty Cell. When a call came in, since I had more than the phone number in the listing in Outlook (and on the BB from the sync) it didn't recognize it as a number from my contacts, and just displayed the incoming caller ID number.

I also could not play individual ring tones or show caller ID pictures for those numbers, either.

Is this when your phone is locked? Some IT policies (only if you are on a BES) will force "Content Protection." If your phone is locked it will not show who the caller is on CID. You also have the ability to enable Content Protection. This may be a cause as well however MartyS theory/solution is plausible as well.

Do you have myFaves. I've noticed that people with myFaves are having issues with caller ID when their top 5 calls them.

I believe you were right it was the content protection.

So what is the solution then -- is there any way to turn off content protection? My company forces us to have our phones automatically 'lock' after 1 hour of no usage. Does this mean my caller ID will never work properly?
