I Just got my 7105t lunlocked. I had called T-Mobile and they sent a request to get the unlock code. I got a reply in 24hrs with the unlock code.

For the Pearl, T-Mobile initially told me that I had to have it for 90 days. But when I told about the 7105t (on the same family plan) they sent a request to get the unlock code. I got the unlock code & the instructions:


Press the Menu key.
Scroll to Options and press the trackball.
Scroll to Advanced Options and press the trackball.
Scroll to SIM Card and press the trackball.
Type MEPPD
Press the Alt key pressed and type MEPP2.
Enter unlock code.

If you're a T-Mo customer for longer then three months, they will email it to you, with instructions, for the asking. Just call customer service.

If you can't wait the 3 months, click the search button above and do a search for an unlocking service. GSM Phone Source is one such service, I believe.

If you persist, they will send you the code earlier.

I purchased the phone in Sept & got the code yesterday.

T-Mobile told my friend me that she need to activate w/ a service on her Pearl in order for T-Mobile to send the unlock codes.
