I'm hearing Q3 2007, but some folks think it may come as soon as Q2. Nothing confirmed, just some Verizon folks talking over a beer.

verizon is well known for crippling handsets before they sell them to consumers. Its time consumers wake up to verizon's anti-consumer games.

Do a search you'll find plenty more than these links:

So I guess that's why they changed the product description and made two GPS programs called "Spot for 8703e" at Skylab: "Spot for 8703e"

I hope the Verizon 8703e will get a BlackBerry OS upgrade with enabled GPS

My SO and I actually ditched Verizon because of the locked phones and feature crippling, in order to get the Pearls we picked up. It cost us $175 per line for two lines, so it was a pretty painful hit - but we're glad to be away from Verizon. Sure, they might have the best coverage out there, but they're a completely closed ecosystem with no phone transfer abilities between other major carriers like we have with the 8100's, and this lets them be an arrogant company. So, we did the best thing we could, voted with our dollars and left.

Plus their expensive plans are rediculous. $109 for a data/minute plan. My sprint plan is half of that and it's better.

Hey, and as an added bonus you can also roam in almost any country in the world with the Pearl ... We were in London and Paris with Cingular Unlimited International BlackBerry/Data ... I think I racked up 25mb a week on GoogleMaps.
