you seem to forget that your BB has something called an operating system that takes up about half of that 64MB and also any other applications you download or install will take up space. There is a seeting in the media to set just how much size you can use for pictures and music and ringtones take a look. But just do what is ment for it and go buy a microSD card and you will have more than enough space for everything under the sun

Get a microSD card for the expansion memory slot. Check out buy.com. They have the 512 mb card for only $5 after two rebates. 512 mb isn't all that much memory IMHO, but for $5, you can't really complain.
Also, did you think 64 mb was going to get you very far anyway in terms of using the Pearl as an MP3 player? Before my microSD card came in the mail, I was able to load a few songs on there with no problem. Perhaps your formatting is off or there is a disruption?
You know, I made a boo-boo. I cancelled that order because it was for a miniSD and not a microSD. I bought a 1GB Kingston from Newegg for $37 shipped (guaranteed 3 day).
