Question APN/YakON/Ramble prob

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, new to forums and hoping some site regs could help me (and i'm sure others) out.

I own the BB Pearl and have unlim. BB plan with tmobile (No BES)
For the last 2 days have been trying to get Ramble or YakOn to work. I went to advanced settings and to APN, put 'wap.voicestream.com' and left username/pw blank. I tried resetting firewall, tried soft and hard resets and I am still getting "Invalid Connection String: Unable to open connection" (under Ramble). Yak is giving me connection error msg and a link to their site for possible ideas.

I've searched the forum topics for other APN threads and have seen none that have delivered the message I recieved in Ramble (as in word-for-word). I tried calling several Tmob reps but all have been very uncooperative to helping me set up phone settings to work with 3rd party programs.

Is something wrong w/ my phone? Is it Tmobile server side settings? A lil help? Thanks

Wirelessly posted (8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

That's what the internet FAQ says for APN. If you want higher reliability check out hosted BES. Full synch with folders and full internet.

higher reliability? it has never connected.. isn't that a little strange? I haven't seen anyone else in the forum not be able to connect ever through the wap.voicestream way.
