Because the Rogers deal is based upon a new activation + tax on a three yr. contract and the credits are bill credits not cash.

And thanks to Finch for answering that question. The purchase price on the BB 7280 w/ rogers is after rebates and that is activating a 3 year plan for voice and Data.

The no plan purchase price is still $549.00 at most Rogers stores.
