Hey everyone

I just got a 7250 from Bell Mobility and I installed Verichat, tried to login and it says "Bad DNS Address". I asked Bell's Data Support, and they told me that most 3rd party applications don't work on their Blackberry's.

Can anyone tell me if they have the same issue, or suggest another possible program to use MSN on the Bell Blackberry that does work?? It's one of the reasons I got one (nevermind I worked for Rogers for a year doing support for them and got hooked... lol) and I would be very upset if their Blackberry's wouldn't be able to run this program.

UPDATE: I tried WebMessenger and it doesn't login either. I may have to ditch Bell...

Yes, ditch them. They do not support tcp/ip..

Would you recommend Telus or Rogers? I worked for Rogers and I know they work, and I know that Telus BB work on these types of programs. I can't believe Bell doesn't support it. Horrible decision indeed...

Robbers you should have no issue. Confirm with Telus, at one point they also blocked third party apps like Bell, not sure if this has changed?

nope, you won't be able to use any of those IM progs through Bell or Telus unless you get some sort of BES alternative through 3rd party hosting, which probably isn't worth your while if you just picked up the BB just for this reason. maybe use the gtalk hack until RIM's MSN app comes out? if you did get the 7520 through Telus, you could use those apps, as the TCP/IP stack is available on the 7520.. but then you got an ugly antennae sticking out.. eww.. jk..
