Default Blackberry email Activation

Please Login to Remove!

I guess I have to put this in here, so I got a new blackberry 8700c and all for a user they using BES and I have activated it and everything. The activation went alright but it said it had some problem downloading all the address book. But anyways I need to find out how to direct the emails to his blackberry. If you send a email it uses the correct email but how do i get the handheld to pick up the emails if you send to it?? thanks all.

Having a hard time following your post.

Regarding the problem downloading the address book, that user probably has D-lists setup which they are not able to sync either by BES or tethered; the user would need to re-key these manually on their BB.

If the handheld is registered w/your BES email delivery is automatically established.

The BES admin adds the user to the BES and sets an activation p/w (or send the activation email)

The user goes into "enterprise activation" enters his email address and the password given and clicks activate.

Once activation is done, any emails sent to that email address will be forwarded to the handheld.

right I just keep trying to reactivate it because it's not recieving any emails it's coming up during activation even though activation will complete "address book database failed" or a error simlar to it. I'm just not sure what to do but keep reactivating it. And retry over and over.

have you wiped the handheld?

Remove the user form BES (and remove all info from the mail sevrer)

Then add the user back to bes and try again.

well I can't remove the user from exchange bro he uses that email right now and this dude a is a big wig. Now when you delete the user it'll say "are you sure to do you want to delete blackberry info off the server" do I want to do this? Then when I add the user I can still activate it remotely correct? btw thanks for the help so far this has been a huge headache and this guy is a huge client of ours. =(

*Side note it will almost finish activation but still has the address book error (and says incomplete activation), some old email comes in his mail box and he has his contacts and can send email just fine.
