Default Slow Email response Time

Please Login to Remove!

Just acquired a 7750 from Verizon using blackberry web client. The delay time between receipt of an email on my computer and receipt on my Blackberry is between 10 and 25 minutes. Is this normal? Can the response time be improved? Would a different wireless provider or different device improve this response time?

I think BWC checks every 15 mins.... so yeah that sounds about right.

If you set up email forwarding as opposed to running it through BWC the email send/receive time is almost instant.

Actually I think they are having problems with the blackberry web client email system. Until today I was getting my email within a couple minutes of it being sent. Now today it is taking 10-15 minutes. On top of that email that was addressed directly to the blackberry email address were instantaneous before today and now they are also taking 10-15 minutes. I am also seeing corruption of attachments today.

No prob fireman...what exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to do POP email from your email provider to your Outlook desktop? That's easy...Go under tools - accounts - add new email account. From there you can add your user name/pw, etc. If you check with your email provider they can give you the exact POP settings.

Hope this helped!
