Default Disassembling Pearl

I might be in need of doing little maintenance soon. I was wondering if disassembling Pearl will make the clips “loose”? Also (knock on wood) if clip(s) break, are there replacement parts (such as covers) available? Thanks for your help.

The Pearl was recently released so it should be still covered under warranty for the first year with RIM. If though you've some how managed to void the warranty you can purchase a replacement battery cover from RIM or even get a dummy phone version of the RIM 8100 to use the shell. As for the internal components it would be easier to just have a cellular technician work on the device.

This brings me to a new question. All I want to do is take the Pearl apart for a little cleaning (trackball etc.). Am I voiding warranty by disassembling Pearl?
