I have not sync'd my Pearl to Outlook yet. Right now I have just the 15 people in my address book that I frequently call. I assume if I sync to Outlook and I have 300 contacts there, that they all will show up on my address book on Pearl. Will that make my voice dialing and navigating difficult with all the names listed that I do not use very oftern? I assume there is no way to list these contacts in a separate area.
Navigation on the handset will not make finding contacts difficult, in fact it is so simple.
I sync over 400 contacts and finding my frequently called is really quick and easy.
With the BlackBerry desktop manager you can choose which contacts folder in outlook to sync.
I have over 2000 contacts and find that the BB is bar far the best manager of contacts I've had on a phone. One handed operation and it is intuitive. When I search for a name, it gives me all the possibilities and quickly. Using the pearl is a breeze selecting the name and number (if they have more than one number).
I'm glad this was brought up.....I could not figure out how to make a "BB Contacts" folder in outlook. Well, it's easy to make the folder, what I couldn't do was "copy" a contact to the new "BB Contacts" folder. Could you help an old sod out here?
Thanks,
SM

Just on this.
I used to use a 7100v, then went to a Motorola V3 for a few weeks and also a Nokia 6234.
Searching for contacts on the Motorola was such a pain, so bad in fact that I ended up syncing my frequently called numbers only (about 20) instead of all my contacts. The Nokia was abit better but it aint no blackberry.
