Default Where did my browser go?

Please Login to Remove!

I just upgraded my handheld to V4.1.0.309. After all was said and done my browser has disappeared.

When I push the T-Zones button I get nothing. The browser icon is gone. When I select Advanced Options and check to see what the default browser is nothing is listed.

I’m not on BES… this is my personal phone.

I found several posts related to this, but most applied to phones on BES, and the solutions revolved around BES related fixes. The others were over my head. I use the phone for calls, emails, and internet... not a power user so be detailed in your answer please.

I tried, but I couldn't find an applicable fix on the forums.

Thank you.

Settings / Options /Advanced / Host Routing Table
Click the wheel and select Register now.

Did that and also had T-mobile send my service books. I never received them, nor did I get a notification when I registered my Host Routing Table. I also noticed on my signal meter that 'gprs' is lowercase, not uppercase like it usually is.

I also went into the app loader and verified the Browser was checked.

The T-mobile rep, once it seemed she had exhausted her flowchart, er, knowledge, suddenly noticed a trouble ticket from BlackBerry about a nationwide maintenance issue that is probably causing the problem.

I had to get back to work and didn't have time to point out that wouldn't account for my Browser and T-Zone icons disappearing.

Any suggestions? I

gprs will give you nothing but voice and SMS. Did you tell the T-Mobile rep. it was on gprs? Have you tried popping the battery out and in?

Yup, she even asked me if it was gprs. I tried the battery thing twice earlier. Just did it again and let it sit out for about five minutes and then my registration notice came through, the icons showed up, everything works, etc.

Thanks for your help, but still very frustrating that the proper fix was to take the battery out several times. Brilliant.
