I have an IT policy in place for my users to require a password to unlock after 30 minutes. I have the Maximum password attempts set at 5. 2 different people had problems this morning, and one wiped their BB's this morning on their 3rd attempt.

I'm not sure why it's limiting it to 3 times instead of 5. Am I missing a second setting?

Update: I restarted my BES, and that didn't do anything, so I set the number to 10, and checked, and then it gives 5 attempts. So then I tried leaving it blank to the default, which it says should be 10 attempts, but after another restart, it still gives 5 attempts. Very strange. Any ideas?

Hi,

Not sure for this behaviour in your case, but this happens when we enable the Duress notification. The duress notifiation reduces the number of password attempts to half.

Yep, that's gotta be it, I do have duress notification on. I thought it might be a good thing. Do you still use the duress notification?
