I had a similar thing happen just the other night, DM stopped syncing about 3/4's of the way through....BB just said "connected to desktop" on the screen. I exited out of DM, restarted it, and was able to sync without a problem....
Have you attempted to uninstall and then reinstall DM? Not sure if thats the answer or not, but it couldn't hurt to try.... Good luck!
