Not an exact answer to your question, but i've got one for my Ipod (2nd Gen Nano) and it works great. I've got an AquaPac for my BB 8700g and it keeps it dry (can't really use the trackwheel - have to know shortcuts).

those aquapacs look cool and are much cheaper than the otterbox blackberry case, the blackberry case is pretty sweet though how it is so protective.. i can't decide if i like the look or not though.. anyone have any thoughts?

I have an Otterbox for my (1st Gen) iPod Nano as well and love its durability.

I saw the 8700 case and it LOOKED like it covered some of the screen. I would email them and ask them exactly to what degree. They were really good about answering me via email on the possibility of an Otterbox for the Pearl/8100.

i'm surprised no one has actually used one of these.. i might have to be the first and review it.. except i kind of was wanting to hold out for the 8800 so I am not sure I want to blow $130 and then get a new phone..

I picked up an Otterbox for my 8700. The price was a challenge but damn if the case isn't hard core. Not that I'm planning on trying it but the thing feels strong enough to drive over it. There was a flaw that limited the usability of the wheel but I just received a new piece for the case that corrects the previously limitation. The case fully encloses the BlackBerry and I have no trouble getting caught out in the rain. I ride a bicycle and this is the perfect case that lets me see who's calling without fear of having the BBerry fall to the ground and smash up or get scratched.

Looks like you're converting your 8700 into a transformer. Pretty cool looking.
