First time i've seen this. Did a search on the forums and didn't get any results.

I have a user who is unable to delete prior items on their Blackberry 8100. They select the date and hit "delete prior items". it seems like only one unread message gets deleted but the rest of the read messages stay on the handheld. The reconciliation is set to "mailbox wins" but shouldn't it delete off the handheld or at least prompt? Yes, it's set to "prompt on delete".

Previously, this function has allowed all items under that date to be deleted but now it doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried popping the battery out and in?

You have to scroll to the very top of the messages list, then delete prior to delete them all, if you delete prior on a certain date it will only delete that date or mesage.

Not true, rickyb.

It will delete everything prior to the date you select.

I get this problem with our users once in a while. Rather than typing the instructions, here is the link BlackBerry Search Results to Blackberry Technical Solutions Center article to resolve this issue. Resolution 2 usually works and does not delete any messages that the user wants.
