If you very carefully use a PLASTIC slide tool (it looks like a small shovel) it will easily unsnap your tabs without breaking any. The main rule is dont use force if you get stuck, rather patiently keep at it, you will be fine. The side of a credit card works nicely too. I've taken mine off a number of times as I switch sim cards between my pearl and my dash (when I feel the need for pain) and after a frustrating few hours with the dash I go back to my pearl again. I have to do this for software dev issues, otherwise the pearl is easily the best phone I;ve ever used day to day, and I;ve used just about all of them. With a rev or two the pearl should be perfect for my needs.
