Default Wireless Con,Memo,Tasks and ACtivation

Please Login to Remove!

HELP!

I have a 7250 running 4.0 on BES 4.0 wiht DSW 4.0 and The activation when though but it only ended up doing the Calendar only. When I went into OCnfigure PIM it said to enable wireless contacts, memo and tasks, which I did, so the activation started again, but then everything in the activation window disappeared and now the icon is still there but the contacts, mem and tasks don't even have the option to turn wireless on under options on the 7250.

Any way to force the activation process again? anyways to kickstart the process? our bes admin removed and readded the account in which it just did the same thing again.

Tried a wipe of the unit under security, same thing. We just can't get the wireless contacts, memo and tasks to go.

Under configure PIM only wireless calendar is check after it asked me to enable wireless ont he others (like normal)

I don't get it.

If only wireless calendar is checked under configure PIM, the device is probably already setup to syncrhonize everything else wirelessly. Contacts, Memos, and Tasks are setup to do wirelessly different then the calendar is for some reason. Yet another piece of programming I cannot see the logic behind at all. They don't have the "Blackberry Wireless Sync" as an option, so don't worry about it. They are actually configured wirelessly through the 4.0 server/OS software.

At any rate, on the device, click on memos or contacts or tasks, go to options and see if wireless syncrhonization is set to "yes". My guess is that it is. This disables them in PIM configuration, so they SHOULD NOT be checked in that window where wireless calendar is. However, if you do need to do another activation, which I don't think you do, then have your BES admin send an activation email to that user's blackberry from the BES.

Is there a way to force wireless updates for the Address Book, etc?

If you delete the Desktop [SYNC] service book and then undelete it, it should do a complete (slow) sync again. Make sure that wireless sync is enabled for you under BES admin.

cd.

Default Hate to renew an old thread, but....

I am having an identical issue to the original poster's. I have a 7510, 4.0, on BES 4.0. The device appears to activate, but the activation windows shows calendar ONLY. The activation Icon never disappears. Any assistance would be great. None of the posted responses have helped. (Been working on this between two techs for about 5 hours)

The device has been wiped using the Security menu, as well as javaloader.
The DTM software has been completely removed and re-installed
The account has been removed and re-added to BES
Connecting the device directly to the BES is not an option

You've tried the usual remove user/clear stats/wipe handheld/readd user/wireless activate?

Oh yes. Have tried all those MANY times. Same result.

Ended up having to move the user's to a different BES. Any idea what would cause this?
