Default JPEG image attachment - BES4.1.2

Please Login to Remove!

Isn't JPEG image attachment is supported and enabled by default for BES v4.1.2?? We're migrating our users from 3.6 finally and nobody is able to open any JPEG images from emails.

We're running BES 4.1.2 on Exchange 2003.

Yep. For some reason the way Outlook 2003 attaches the images... it pastes it directly on the body of the message as suppose to as a file in the "attachments" field, maybe that explains why it wouldn't read it as an attachment?

Yes, that'll may the problem its not a true attachment. Make sure the user has attached the photo and prior to sending it has its filename as xyz.jpg on the attachment bar (below subject line)

Also check that they are sending as a 'regular attachment', and possibly the issue could be the old .jpg vs. .jpeg extension issue.

Ahh.

I guess when I attach the image I should click on "Insert -> File" as suppose to "Insert -> Picture -> From File".

Still, I wish BES should be smart enough to figure out it's an image right away though.
