Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I'm on cingular 8700.. In the middle of using, it randomly resets/restarts, but it's not a full restart. Screen goes black, then I get cingular logo, then returns to the screen I was on. Happens like every 5 minutes. If I pull out and put back the battery, it stays on and fine for a day or two, then back to the problem. Is this a bad device? Bad battery? I have only one 3rd party app installed (gmail), which I had on my 7290 and did not experience this issue.

Thanks

I get the random restarts also. (Verizon 8703e) Seems to happen more often when I am doing heavy texting.

I don't get stuck for that long. I'm usually back up in less than one minute.

I have a similar, but not identical problem that I have not been able to resolve. Every so often the wireless service will shut down. No warning, nothing. When I notice it, I turn it back on and it is OK for a day or two. Very peculiar.

This has definitely happened to me especially during the auto off mode. It will just stay on the VZW splash page and then I'll have to remove the battery to reboot. I suspect it's a glitch in the OS which more annoyance than anything else.
