...here on BBF I'm going to scream. I feel my IQ lowers two points everytime I read a thread that sounds like a 13yo kid smoking crack who hasn't learned how to use the English language. 'LOL' comes a close second, have you maybe tried "hah!" or "heee!" or something a little more....truthfully indicitive?

No, I am not dissing ESL persons (English as a Second Language, etc.), I'm talking about native English speakers that can't tell the difference between 'know' and 'no' and wouldn't know proper (or even close) grammar if it was a talking book sitting beside them telling them what to type.

Watch yourself NJ, one of the kids believes... "A little pretentious, Jersey is being in my opinion". +1 for including in the same post "I speak english fine" and not realizing the bad grammar.

There was a Yoda speak thread a long time ago.
At least it made sense. And the words were spelled out.

Wasn't there a school/country who put short-form IM language into its curriculum in recent times? I'm thinking I read something on that a while back.

I'll admit, I use aim language on a daily basis, but I try to keep it to aim use, and not message boards. I guess i have a slight excuse if I slip an lol in there, still being 15, but I really do try to avoid it.

Wow. I hope not.

I remember reading something about the people who score standardized tests being instructed not to mark students down for using IM-speak in their essays. Can you imagine an SAT grader receiving this:

"n SA by K8e: How 2 B suxSfl N lyf"

and not being able to correct it??? No wonder colleges are struggling to keep their freshmen class afloat.

At least it's nice to know I'm not the only one that gets annoyed by this.

PS: yo LunkHead, let's leave the Snoop Dogg out of this... I kinda like him.

And as far as rappers like that go, I love the fact that Ice-T has that acting gig on Law & Order, I think he does an excellent job in the role - he made the crossover with flying colors. Ever see him in the movie Tank Girl as one of the kangaroo-things?
