Default BB 8800 Walkie Talkie ??

Please Login to Remove!

hi guys,
I was thinking of upgrading my 7520 with an 8800.
Does the 8800 have the walkie talkie feature ?
if not, what is the latest model that does ?

thanks,
Kevin Rea

8800 support PTT but not on Nextel. I think you're going to have a long wait to see a new Nextel PTT model. From my vantage point I would say that the Nextel models are going to come out primarily on the Sprint side.

Has it as does the Pearl Works well. I like it better than the Nextel PTT. I like being able to see if the person I'm about to sqeak is available without getting that annoying tone.

Is the PTT on the Cingular Blackberrys pretty fast and reliable?

Check on HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource there is more information from people using ptt on Cingular. From what I've read the setup for the initial contact takes about 7 seconds but after that it works quickly. Not sure what benefit there is on PTT for an extra $10/month over just calling for M2M free.
