I got the codes from t-mobile and followed them. It said code accepted but how do you tell its unlocked.

In the sim menu sim card - everything reads disabled... or security disabled... but ...put in a sim card from another carrier...

Sweet it did say security disable, I did not want to put my 8800 sim card because I was afraid the when it booted it will delete all her settings from tmobile.

I've done the same thing and my SIM Card Settings now reads:
SIM Card: Security Disabled.
SIM Disabled.
Network Active.
Network Subset Disabled.
Service Provider Disabled.
Corporate Disabled.

Is my 'phone now unlocked? If so why does it say "Network Active"?

I think of it says network active its still locked
