Default BlackBerry - Not receiving emails

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user that is unable to receive any emails to her BlackBerry, but is able to send just fine.

Setup on BES, no smtp or pop stuff. Any suggestions?

I hope you first suggested he pull the battery 30 seconds, reboot the phone and try again... then see what errors he says he is getting.

just reactivate him. No wipe or anything needed. Remove his account from bes and re-add and reactivate. Also, to make sure, If you are a BES admin then create the thread in the BES ADMIN CORNER.

I've found that either pulling the battery, waiting, and putting back in works well...an easier one, which works for my friend because he goes in and out of service at his house a lot is to turn off wireless, wait a few to make sure it says OFF instead of GPRS or EDGE and then turn it back on....

I hope you first suggested SHE pull the battery 30 seconds, reboot the phone and try again... then see what errors SHE says SHE is getting.

How's that? Does it work any better now?

lol, it is interesting how I just read right past the SHE. But HE is quicker to type anyway.

i upgraded to a new 8800 thursday/friday. after my firm's techs got all my BES firm email etc. working, i realized i could not "receive" email at my [email address] email address (only). (sending is fine.) i can send "and" receive fine from a separate added email account. tech support rep advised there may be some "all regions" network issue with a trouble ticket open and goes all the way to RIM/blackberry (TT000004427223). i have tried to google this but found no other confirmation. is anyone else having trouble receiving email on handheld at JUST their ...blackberry.net web accounts?

embarrassing... finally got up to RIM today. the issue was somehow the particular account had a filter set to "not" forward to handheld. i don't know how i missed that in my investigations but am grateful to the courteous tech from RIM who quickly diagnosed and corrected for me. i guess i now need to call cingular so they can update their ticket
