Hi all

I've posted on the 8100 forum that I've written a program for downloading and solving crosswords (New York Times, The Guardian, Telegraph, Times, Independent, Across Lite, etc.) and asked for owners to test it on the 8100.

Unfortunately, the 8100 doesn't seem to be able to download crosswords, even though it works for me on the 8800 and the 8100 emulator.

Does anyone fancy trying it on their 8800 for me as a double check?

Actually it does work on the 8100, so could be a network provider issue. Thanks.

Doesn't work on my 8800. Keep getting the error message: "Unable to open file" when attempting to download crosswords. Sorry.

Does this help?

"my APN settings in TCP is wap.voicestream.com not sure if that helps also make sure if they are behind a bes this might not work try changing the default browser from blackberry to internet"

This problem does seem to be a network configuration issue.

You need to make sure you have a full Internet connection. This may help:

Karl, tried adjusting the TCP and internet settings but doesn't seem to work. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that wouldn't mind a program to download daily crosswords. Maybe others can chime in with some feedback as well.
