I'm a mac user and use my girlfriends computer to do OS upgrades. I set up the computer to install the Italy 4.2.1.66 and let it run. I deleted the Vender.xml and changed the blackberry.alx files. We went out and saw a movie and came back and the computer was kicked back to the login screen and now my phone just sits there with the hour glass spinning. No boot up and can not connect to the desktop in order to do a full wipe. Is there anything that i can do or did my phone just turn into a brick?

With the battery pulled I was able to get the loader to recognize the phone, then placed the battery back in and now Im in the middle of loading, this time sitting in front of the computer the entire time

Don't let the computer reboot and just let it go. There will be times when the BB appears to be locked up with a spinning hourglass for up to 20 minutes. Just let it go. It'll work.

I was able to reload the OS onto the phone but then got a 507 error when starting up. The computer was able to recognize the phone still so I did a wipe and just got done loading OS again without any issues. Its a good thing I backed up before doing any of this. I will be staying in front of the computer from now on when loading OSs.

Everything is up and working now. Thanks for the advice on waiting a bit. It took almost ten minutes after loading the OS for it to stop with the hour glass. It had never taken that long before.
