Default New owner Contact preference and font question

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

Got a new 8100 Pearl last week. I've transferred my contacts from my old Nokia without a problem. I've got three main questions and couldn't find an answer until now. Any help appreciated:

1) I want to change the order of "Call which number?" fields when selecting from the address book. The reason is I prefer to call a mobile number from my mobile device but it is listed after Work, Work2, Home, Home2 fields. In my Nokia I had a chance to select the default call field (which I had set it as the mobile).

2) Some contacts do have 2 to 3 different mobile numbers. Preferably, I would like to have their numbers to be listed as Mobile2 Mobile3 (but not using the User# fields as they are not displayed in the call number list.

3) I prefer to use to display a big font on the phone for my messages, as I don't always wear my glasses. But when I increase the size of the font; all of the displays use the same font size (which seems normal) unfortunately messing up the Call which number field list (which is in +999999999999 format) and I can not understand exactly the number I'm calling.

Thank you in advance.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

1-you can't change the default order of the displayed phone numbers. However, you will discover that after you call a contact, the number to which you called WILL BE the default the next time you call that contact from the recent call log.
2- I don't believe you can change the names of the phone fields.
3-if you increase the font size, the phone #s as you describe in the call list will just be too big on the screen to display the whole number, some of the number will run off the screen. You can't have it both ways.

Good luck, enjoy your Pearl.

Thank you very much for your response.

Is there anyway that I can set the flag for the number which was called as you say "he number to which you called WILL BE the default the next time you call that contact". If I can set the flag, I will not need to call everyone in the contact list one by one.

I think you can list more than one mobile # for a contact in Outlook (I know you can enter more than one email address). When you enter a number there's a little box in the field and when you click that there's the option for entering a second number or address.
