Default BB 7100T and Jabra 250 problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

New to the forum. I just picked up my 7100T and the Jabra 250 BT headset. It works great in most respects and is the most comfortable I have seen.

I am having a wierd problem and hope someone else can help me figure this out. Every time I push a button (escape, thumb wheel) the headset toggle from standby to active and then back to standby. It is a real annouyance and I am afraid the battery life will be drained if I do not pay attention to the status of the headset. Anyone else having this problem.

I have deleted the pairing and reset several time. I have also replaced the Jabra and am now thinking about replacing the BB. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem and actually much worse - the phone would drop the BT connection but think it was connected, then freeze up/restart when I began to speak on the headset... problem seemed to go away after installing v4 of the BB software - if you haven't already done so, I would try that as a first step. It solved my problem, but exposed the more persistent problem dealt with in another topic here -- that of constant re-starts during conversations, with or w/o BT... good luck!

I would make sure you are running the latest 4.0 software - if you are, do a wipe and reload of your Blackberry applications and data.

Make sure the bluetooth headset is set "Trusted = Yes" under the profile.

I had the same problem, and here's what fixed it. It's on the headset's fault. Put the headset in the cradle without it being plugged in. plug it in for 3 seconds and then pull it out of it's cradle. That'll reset it. Then repair it and you're all set! Worked like charm for me.
