I have a very interesting issue regarding all of my users on my Blackberry Enterrpise Server 4.1.2.20.

ISSUE:
On Task in outlook 2003 the user can open tasks and create notes in the tasks and save. The user can continue to add or modify notes and continue to use "Save and Close" to save the changes.

When the user edits the Task notes on their Blackberry and saves the changes show up in Outlook Tasks with out an issue. After the user modifies the Task notes with thier Blackberry and goes back on to Outlook to add or modify the notes then clicks on "Save and Close" all the notes in the task are erased. Now the Blackberry and Outlook have no Task notes.

Troubleshooting
- I have turned off Cache Mode and that did not make a difference
- I can Sync the Tasks thruogh the Cable on the Blackberry Desktop Manager fine.
- There is not error message on the BES logs or the Event view on the persons desktop regarding outlook.
- MAPI are all updated on Outlook, Exchange and BES.

Has anyone heard about this or now what causes Outlook to delete the Task notes after the Blackberry edits them?

I can reproduce this problem in the way you described.

Our BES is SP2 (I think) version is 4.1.2.25.

Somebody at Experts Exchange claims that after rebuild of BES server to SP3 with Hotfixes the problem went away.

We will not rebuild BES but we will be upgrading to SP3 + Hotfixes on June 7 so I'll let you know if it works.

Same thing is happening with my users and was just noticed yesterday.

We have BES 4.1.1.10 on a Windows 2003 server.

Well I just finished the upgrade to 4.1.3.18 (sp3).
Applied Hot fix 1 and 2.
Good news:
In some simple tests, the 'task notes' problem mentioned above seems to be solved.
