We are developing a BB app for law firms and we have successfully implemented an installation script using Installshield that invokes the AppLoader. The only problem is, we can't determine how to "check" our Application item in the application list by default. The user has to manually check then click next. we would like to save a step by having the item checked already. Since you have to scroll to even see our app line item, it's not easily apparent to the user there is one more step before clicking NEXT to install our application.

Any pointers to resources as to how this is explained would be helpful. Is there a property, maybe, in the ALX file that would do this?

Apparently, we can use the <required>true</required> tag in the ALX file and it will force check and grey the selection.

This is partly what we are looking for however this removes the ability for the user to remove the application. Is there not a way force the check but still provide the option for it to be unchecked?
