I rather wait to buy it when it comes out than pay that price.

It's BS guys! Look at the bottom where it says buy it now for $950. It says something like shipped when in stock, within 30 days! It'll most likely be available from AT&T by then for much much less. Only Curves floating around are from o2 right now, and there pretty tough to get a hold of right now!

Yeah, I would never bid on any of these. I just use ebay as an indicator as to how close to a release we are

Dido, same here! ebay is a good tool, as soon as one turns up unboxed with all the manuals and stuff we're in business! It's usually someone who got a hold of one a little early! I can't wait!!!

This not the REAL indicator. The REAL indicator is when you see them on eBay in the Carrier's Box. THEN you know they are out, not until!

Yup, both those auctions are dead. It's scam heaven when a new device like this one comes out.

I am keeping an eye for 8300s on ebay, too, as an indicator but when I saw those auctions yesterday with that whole "will ship within 30 days" I was like, oh, no, not yet. Perhaps maybe over the weekend some o2 ones will start to pop up on ebay after people have decided they aren't keen on them.
I suspect we won't see US carrier branded ones til they're officially launched. Just a guess. Speculation. Theory. Etc. ;)

Not speculation just fraud. Likely hijacked accounts with scammers selling what they do not have. these people know what is hot and everyone is waiting for and there is no shortage of stupid eBay members that will follow a URL in a email and put his personal info in so other people can get scammed by their account.

Not a day goes by when I do not get a email from someone who says I need to verify my eBay account. Something tells me that the entire X-Soviet Eastern Block has one of our discarded computers and are praying on the gulable! All you need to do is strike up a conversation with these peop[le and their English skills are so poor they give themselves away!

I got a email today that said if I did what ever they would send me "free gift money"
Just the words free gift money made me know it is not anything except a scam from someone with poor English skills.

How does "Free Gift Money" sound to you?

Anything that's presented as free scares me these days!

Smile eBay Indicator

When I first saw this thread I thought this was a new icon on the BB that would tell you when an eBay item was being bid on or something like that. Funny how the mind works!
