Hi,

I know Rogers said the Curve would be available in "June", but I have been digging for a while and can't seem to find more specific information, nor can I find how it will price compared to the Pearl (which is $249cdn with 3 year plan).

Does anyone have pointers I'm missing or some intelligent guesses? How does the Pearl and Curve compare pricewise in markets that it's release? (again, can't seem to find any info, more European telecom providers detect North American IP's and redirect).

Far to cheap. Look to Robbers to rip the public off when ever possible. At best, $499 on a two year $399 on a 3yr. Do your self a favor bypass the Robbers stupidity, find one contract free. You'll be better for it in the long run.

Ditto - where does a poor schmuck in Ottawa find an unlocked Curve (or Pearl for that matter) from a reliable source?

Last time I checked newegg wouldn't sell to customers w/o a US billing address.

There are always unlocked phones on ebay, but those are generally only worth it if you don't have to pay tax on them.

It'll be around $499 on 3yr for sure. As for contract free, just go to a rogers store and say you wanna buy the device without a contract. You dont need to go a factory store. The device will probably cost $649-$699 - but if you ask me its well worth it, going on contracts is stupid and costs more in the long run.

another thing i wanna add. if you go to a store and they say they dont sell it out right is because they dont make any money by doin so. They want to keep the stock so they can sell them on new activations where they can make the most money. If that happens just go to another store =]

You can also try puremobile dot ca for unlocked devices. As long as you don't care about having the AT&T or T-mobile logo on the BB.

Although their site seems to be not working properly right now....
