Default Please recommend a BB for me?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, please, I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this.

I run a small business (on my own) using Mac OS10.4 Mail with one mail account, and I use Gmail for my personal email, and I want a remote email solution.

I need a remote email device to do/have the following:
  • Handle email (POP and Web)
  • Open attachments (Word mainly)
  • QWERTY keyboard

I will not be using it as anything else, not a phone, not a camera, not an mp3 player, not a GPS, it does not need to sync with an address book or electronic diary, and I won't want it to make me bacon and eggs, just to do the above and do it well!

I am not an advanced Mac user however if there is some software out there that would get a BB to sync with Mac Mail that would be great but not essential.

I am currently a Vodafone (UK) customer for my mobile.

What do I do people - I'm a bit lost, please help me?

I still think the cooking of Bacon and Eggs is the Pearl's strongest feature.

For full keyboard and no camera, get either the 8700 or the 8800. You can open and edit MS Word docs with a third-party software (see eOffice by Dynoplex); to only view docs, look for Repligo or BeamBerry, much cheaper.

Any BB will handle your POP and GMail accounts well, using BIS you cannot sync mail between BB and Desktop. You will need BES for that.
General BIS FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ

For using with your MAC, to backup or install apps, get PocketMac or use MissingSync.
