Default newest AT&T software - 4.2.1 and folder icons

Please Login to Remove!

well, i upgraded to the latest version of AT&T's software the other day. as i was looking for the major changes, i noticed that it came with folder icons.

i would assume it allows me to change the icons to the folders in the media section... does anyone know how to use these and is that what they are there for?

thanks in advance

On the Curve you could create new folders, pick an icon, and put whatever you wanted in it. On mine I had put all my games into a folder and selected the icon with the little joystick.... Hoping that it works the same on the Pearl with the latest OS.

I have tried that, and found no option to pick a folder icon. I'm wondering if they didn't get a little ahead of themselves with the folder icons.

Anyone else with the latest OS figure it out?

I haven't either. I noticed the folder icons too. I wish it did have the option to create folders on the home screen. I could probably see that upgrade not coming out for like another year.

And by then, I will have a different BB.

Anyone know the meaning behind these folder icons on the pearl?
