Question 8300 / Theme's & Menu's being slow...

Please Login to Remove!

I've had my Curve for a few weeks now, and I unlocked ALL the themes.
But, what I want to know is, is it just me, or are the menu's slow when using certain themes?
For example, I like the TIM Zen theme, but the menu's are slow; same with the VodaFone theme. Strange, no?
Does this happen to anyone else? I've also do a battery pull...

I noticed this. I was previously using "BB Dimension Zen", but liked the look of the T-Mobile Zen theme better. I find the T-Mo Zen theme quite a bit slower and might have to switch back.

After posting, I removed all of the other unused themes, including the Rogers theme. After it booted back up and stabilized everything seems a bit quicker and freed up almost 5 MB. Could just be a coincidence, but everything seems a bit better now. I'm probably better off not having those extra themes taking up space anyway.

How did you remove the themes? I unlocked them all too by using Jibi's .alx file.

I haven't experienced any lagging when I use the TIM Zen theme.

I think people may be interpreting the fade in delay on some zen variants as a memory issue. For instance in Dimension zen when viewing the home screen, if you quickly scroll up and down the icons the yello underlay seems to lag behind where you're moving. This is not a memory issue, it's because the fade in/out of the text was not meant to run this quickly. On the icon grid it should move fluidly because there is no fade.

Edited the .alx file again and changed the carrier ID to something else for the themes I didn't want. When I ran the app loader, it removed all of the themes that didn't have my carrier ID.
