Exclamation Password removal problem with Blackberry 6710.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everyone,
I got a problem to remove password from my 6710 16Mb blackberry handset. I tried to wipe it using JL_Cmder and wipe.bat software but didn't got any success. I know these softwares are USB compatible but i have only COM port lead that i got with my phone to connect my phone with PC. So i tried to use that with USB2 to RS232 Connector but nothing happens. It gave Error Unable to open the port. Please help me to sort out this problem:
1. Can i wipe my handset using COM port with JL_Cmder.
2. If not plz tell me the USB data cable Model no. that is compatible with 6710.
3. Is there any other way to remove password or wipe 6710 handset.

Thanks.

The way I understand it, the BIS/Personal Email Setup password is associated with the PIN of the device even if the device is wiped since the BIS is internet based. It would be like expecting your Yahoo mail password to be wiped when you wipe your BlackBerry...it aint gonna' happen. Either activate your BIS account on a new BlackBerry or call your carrier.

I think he's trying to remove the password to access the device, not his email account password.

You will need a Windows PC with a USB cable in order to do it, however. Then follow the instructions in this link:

Question

Thanks for reply..
I followed the instructions below..

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ve-policy.html[/QUOTE]

I connect it to PC by COM port ( as i dont have usb cable). When i run application loader , it starts installing new software to handset. It takes nearly 10 min. but when the hanset restarts it asks for new password. I dont understand whats this. If i type new password and it gives error " Type one letter one digit ". I tried this many times but nothing happens.

Thanks
