Question How do I STOP receiving multiple emails from network@...blackberry.net?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my blackberry 2 days ago, so pardon me if this question is due to ignorance...

I get 10-20 emails per day from some variation of this address:
network@etp1107.etp.na.blackberry.net

The subject heading is always some version of:
RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2

And the message always says something like:
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

What are these emails and how do I stop getting them?? It's getting really annoying. I called T-Mobile and they reset something, but it didn't fix the problem. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

When I first installed my software, I clicked BES instead of BIS (not knowing the difference at the time), so I thought removing the software and re-installing it (clicking BIS the next time) would solve the problem. But I'm still getting the emails. Perhaps I should call the Blackberry company or something?
Who knows - maybe I set something in motion the first time (clicking BES) that couldn't be undone by reinstalling the software.
Thanks for your input!

Default Eliminate the repeated network message

You need to Go to Options.Advanced.Service Book.

If you are not actually using a BES, you will see a couple of "Desktop [ xxx ]" items. There will be two that are associated with the email address you put in when you set up your BlackBerry Desktop (you can see this by clicking on them). Delete both of them (click the BlackBerry button next to the Pearl).

If you are using a BES, make sure you only delete the ones that have the wrong email address.

I just did this. If you don't hear back from me - it worked! And - if it does - THANKS!!! I really appreciate it!

If I continue to get these emails, I was told (by T-Mobile) to contact the RIM department and they can straighten it out. But they said it could take half an hour to an hour on the phone! Bleh! I'm hoping to avoid that.
