Red face Missing options? (System reset?)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I've owned a Blackberry Pearl for 2 months now and I absolutely love it - it completely runs my life! However my mobile provider (Orange) has set the phone so that certain applications can only be orange's applications (eg the browser is a crappy Orange browser with a set provider home page which I cannot change) and has removed other options from menus, such as the problem I'm about to raise...

I would like my sent email to synchronise with my Outlook sent items folder - according to the manual and user guide this is supposed to be done automatically. In fact the manual even tells you how to turn it off - ie go to "Email Settings" and select "Save Copy In Sent Folder" to "No". But mine doesn't do this automatically, and when I went to Email Settings to see if for some reason it was turned off, I found that I don't even have the option "Save Copy In Sent Folder" on the menu!!

Now I presume that this is Orange messing around again, as they have a habit of doing annoying little things like that. So I was wondering, is there a system reset so that I can get all of my menu options back again? Can I do this without deleting my phone's contents?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I don't have an answer for you, but I do have advice:

Before you do anything, backup your phone using desktop manager.

Thanks - yes, I've done that anyway. My Pearl synchronises perfectly with Outlook, it just doesn't add the Sent emails to the Sent Items folder in Outlook.

I'm sorry, could you clarify what you mean?

Both the manual and the online user guide both clearly state that sent emails can be synchronised with the Sent Items folder in Outlook. The problem isn't that its not possible, the problem is that its missing from the menu (see my first post).

You have to be on BES to get the contact and calendar synchronization over the air.

Aaaha! Now that would make sense as to why I don't have the option!

So there is no way for us to sync our sent items if we're accessing a standard POP3 account?
