I don't want to start another one of these because it has been beaten to death, but this was listed under the features:

GPS-enabled for Location-based Services

So how does that help us or hurt us.

mods should kill this one. tht is a page advertising both phones and listing the specs and features for both. Nothing to build or hurt any case you think you have with them. and its a third party seller, again nothing there.

This is indeed nothing new. If it gets into a brawl, it will be closed...Other than that, it's a discussion board. Discuss away...

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I really don't think there is a case, I was curious how the: GPS-enabled for Location-based Service feature could be interpreted. I took it to be related to the 911 gps locator only.

While this is absolutely true, you can see how easily this phone is being misadvertised by even VZW service resellers. What does this say to you? To me is says VZW was shady in disabling the capability. Even resellers are expecting a phone to have all the manufacturer features intact, let alone the customers.

it says that the people writing the add need to do a little more homework before they put out nonscense. It their own fault not VZW that they didnt read or do research before they posted there add. its there fault and no one elses. Why dont you just let it die already everyone onthe board is sick of hearing about it and nothing is going to be done to change it.
