Default difference between tmo hotspot @home and regular wi-fi router

Please Login to Remove!

if I already have a wi-fi router, what would be the reason for purchasing the tmo hotspot @home router?

also, can I receive a call via wi-fi in addition to making a call via wi-fi? are there any circumstances where I would not be able to receive a call via wi-fi?

main difference is, the tmobile router has some special settings to increase battery life on the hotspot @ home phone that's using it

is that all?

What about the range? Cause thats something that just came to my attention. I've gone through two routers and I still can't get WIFI signal throughout the whole house (no I don't live in a 10,000 s/f mansion). Has to do with walls and plumbing or something in our house.

They make small "repeaters" that plug into an AC outlet-this worked wonders with our set up, when we have our primary PC (with the wireless modem) upstairs and a laptop downstairs.

This isn't a TMO product-we found ours at Best Buy.

The Linksys WRE54G is an excellent Wireless Extender.
Put one at the edge of your WiFi signal and it will extend it on. Works great.

i had the same question so i called and got a confirmation.

the only difference would be the ease to connect, and the fact that tmobile cant service non-tmobile routers. but the H@H works fine with ANY router. as long as its wireless
