Default Backup of BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for backing up BES server? I'm backing up the MSDE databases local to the BES server using the Veritas NetBackup agent but am not sure what else I should backup? In a DR situation I would use Netrunna (imaging software) to restore the server OS & would happily install the BES software from scratch - ideally I would just like to be able to restore the users & their settings, IT policies etc.

Cheers
Andrew

Backup your database regularly and export your user list every now and again as well (this can be done from the BES manager).

What mail platform are you running?
What version of BES (Service Pack too) are you running?
Is your BES anything other than a BES running local MSDE (a Domain controller, etc ...)?
