Default Traveling to Australia & NZ

my pearl is unlocked. For those who have traveled to Aus and or NZ, what is the best thing to do (unlocked sim, from whom)?

I would like my email to continue to work as well.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks -

If you want your email to work you need to stick with your current carrier. For voice, when in Aus or NZ you can purchase a PrePaid SIM at just about any store. VodaFone and Telstra and the two big carriers there. I would slip my home carriers SIM card in to check email but I would leave the prepaid voice one in to make calls.

There is a really good SIM card, harder to find but the rates are really good. The company is Revolution Telecom based in Aus. Hope that helps.

Default Be Very Careful In OZ...

A few of the carriers I ran into are now only supporting 3G phones on their prepaid...

Also if you have t-mobile, you can setup international data roaming for free
