Sweet and I just got my storm!

Wait a minute....

I thought the whole purpose of the delay in releasing this was for the bold and the storm....

Oh well what's another year.....

I'm going to try it on my 8330. I'm hoping I can download it and that it will at least install...

Edge speeds are not conducive to streaming video. Notice that services like FlyCast have a lower quality stream for service over Edge. And that's just for audio. Viewable video & audio would need a bigger pipe. If you have a very very GOOD EDGE signal, you might be able to stream video some. But weaker EDGE signals reduce the amount of bandwidth available for applications.

More bandwidth is always your friend.

Wifi is your friend.

GSM 3G is your friend.

Default Is software 4.5.0.0 or 4.5.0.110 available yet for the blackberry 8120???

Is the software that slingbox requires for your 8120 even available? They want software 4.5.0.0 or 4.5.0.110 for the blackberry 8120, but I've looked and only find 4.3.0.115.

I've looked around and can't find it at Tmobile or Blackberry.

Thanks!

Nevermind...I found the OS v4.5 for the 8120 at Blackberry, but can't download it from them because they saw my device is registered on an Enterprise server which it is, but we support that OS and Tmobile didn't list anything newer than 4.3.0.115 to download. Any suggestions on how to get the newer software?

I just wanted to post and say I finally got the V4.5 OS installed on my TMobile 8120 despite the fact that TMobile doesn't offer it directly. I was able to get it from Blackberry directly, but had to do some magic to get it on my device. Not really magic, but anyway.. I've also downloaded the Slingbox Application for my TMobile 8120 and it works great. Navigating is a bit slow especially if you have a weak wifi signal. However, despite the Slingmedia website stating it's only for Cingular, it's working fine for me. I bet it's even better if you have a bigger blackberry like like the Curve. It would be nice if the Sling picture took up the whole screen of my Pearl, but so far it doesn't. Could be user error..

Thanks for the replies!
