Default Annoying short cut

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I sell laptops which I some times refer to as LT in an sms to customers.

Do you realise that if you type LT into a blackberry torch sms it displays the Local Time ( and date)

Anyone else come accross any other quirky shortcuts ?

It is an older feature called "Autotext". On the 9800 it is called "Word Substitution". Go into Options / Typing and Input / Word Substitution. You can find any your don't like and then delete them.

Better yet, leave that one as it is, create your own AutoText entry for "lp" to become "laptop" and you've got the best of both worlds.

Actually "LT" is a shortcut for Long Time. i.e. 7:47:00 PM. Like "LD" is a shortcut for Long Date.
