Default 7730 as a learning universal infrared remote control?

Please Login to Remove!

Some years ago I used a palm for some weeks. There was an app which allowed you to use it as a "learning universal infrared remote control".

Is there any app which let you do that with a BB 7730?

Thanks.

Does the 7730 even have an IR transmitter? I couldn't find it on BlackBerry but maybe that's not listing all the specs. Anyway without one it clearly won't work.

Me neither.
But the website of RIM is bad at all in my opinion.

BlackBerry - Devices
does not even list the 7730.

Around the headset socket you find another type of plastic than the rest of the case.
It seems to be translucent.

That made me think of infrared.

Any clear material in front of a dark one appears dark.

haha. i really liked those old Nokia 5100 candybar phones. they were one of the first phones to actually have ringtones that sounded like songs...vs variations of beeping noises that the motorola and qualcomm phones had. i still have my Nokia 5180 phone actually. the antenna broke off it, and I remember for about 3 months i made a makeshift antenna with a paper clip.

i was thinking about looking REAL cool and putting a 6 foot whip antenna on it and telling people I had a satellite phone haha
