Google Maps not detecting GPS on 8310 (plus workaround)

I don't know if anyone else has run into this issue, but when i downloaded Google maps onto my 8310 it did not see my GPS. Google sees my BB as an 8310 but the softwrae doesn't see the GPS.

I tried a few times to get the synch working and I either couldn't connect, or had multiple duplicates or times out of whack. I've switched to a combination of plaxo and calendar share. Plaxo synchs...

If you've got everything on your BB and only some in Outlook you can configure your Intellisync to do an Export.

Double Click Intellisync
Click on Configure PIM
Select Calendar and click Choose...
