I'm sure it is... I know for sure T-Mobile block MS VPN connection ports, so it wouldn't be out of the question that they would block slingbox's ports also.

It's really not that difficult to do. I find taking the Pearl apart was harder than doing the actual mod. Soldering the tiny piece of wire took me all but about 10 seconds... heh Good opportunity to...
